BLUE JEANS

Blazer - ASOS, Crop Top - Topshop, Mom Jeans - Topshop, Shoes - New Look

I bought these Topshop mom jeans a size bigger than I would normally go to give them more of a spacious feel, and they are hands down the most comfortable jeans I own, as well as being the ultimate 'denim blue'. This little crop top seems far less revealing when contrasted against the baggy bottom half and the blazer, meaning I can dare to bare in a far more socially acceptable way. I couldn't feel more nineties and I love it.

Monday morning = catch up time on all the things I didn't get done last week in a state of mild panic. One of those things being updating my blog, having neglected to for most of last week. This week I'm back to normal and kicking off with this little gem of an editorial for Self Service. I immediately fell in love with the simple silhouettes and grown-up nineties styling. And the hair, obviously. But mainly that structured mini dress. Swoon.

TOMBOY

Bomber Jacket - Topman, Tank top - Superdry, Mom jeans - Topshop, Back Pack - New Look, Sandals - New Look

This Topman bomber is so much better than any womenswear equivalent I've found. I pinched it from my brother and pretended I'd bought it myself, so it had the added bonus of being free. These mom jeans have been in my life for a year and have adapted amazingly well to all seasons and occasions, so 10/10 for those too.

SCUBA

 Top - Missguided, Skirt - H&M

I'm totally obsessed with scuba everything right now, and this little cropped number is among my favourites. The fabric is super light and sits perfectly every time I put it on - it's a seriously well-behaved piece of clothing. I actually brought it a size up for that added over-sized appeal. Plus it balances out my teeny tiny skirt...

LATE NIGHT

Apparently late at night is when I get my best inspiration...its just a shame I need to be up for work in a few hours #helpmecaffeine.

Sporty editorials seem to be everywhere at the moment, and I'm not complaining. I fell in love with this one the second I saw the fantastically ugly/amazing combination of sport socks and platform sandals.  Definitely going to use that styling tip myself. The Nike arm sleeves and socks are a great use of actual sportswear and give the shoot a little touch of authenticity missing in other editorials of it's genre. Well done Flair.

6 OF THE BEST...SPORT LUXE

6 of the best...sport luxe

The Ragged Priest mesh shirt, $58 / Topshop white top / Topshop activewear pants / Topshop shorts / Topshop clothing / H&m shoes, $33

If pyjamas were acceptable day-wear, I'd wear little else. Sometimes, squeezing myself into my skinny jeans at 7:30 in the morning seems like the most unappealing task. However, seeing as I have to leave the house looking vaguely acceptable, these stylish but comfortable basics will have to do. These are my current favourite picks inspired by the sport luxe trend, seen everywhere from Tommy Hilfiger to Balenciaga. An even bigger plus is that these are all under £100. Don't say I never treat you.

ARGH could this be any more perfect? Masculine cuts, leather, oversized turtlenecks, sneakers...its kind of  luxe streetwear, and I'm in love. The whole collection has serious attitude, but in that nonchalant, enviably effortless way. Bonus points awarded for the purple lips and mad antler/twig style jewellery.

TUMBLING

Tumblr is my vice and go-to for procrastination. I waste away hours image hunting, hours which should be doing my dissertation. If any of you guys are hung up on monochrome and clean lines, with only the tiniest hint of colour, then come join me here.
